I haven't had writers block or lack of things to blog about. Only my closest friends, family and co-workers know what has been keeping me down and out. I've contemplated whether or not to share this with my readers. So here it goes.
Back in October of 2018 while on STD (short term disability), I was informed I had liver disease. I know what you're thinking.... And not because of my love for wine or because of consumption. My Hematologist has diagnosed me with Primary sclerosing cholangitis. This type of liver disease is caused by moderate to severe autoimmune diseases such as Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis. I had my first surgery on Thursday and have been recovering since. Unfortunate timing considering Cheers for Chocolate started on Friday at Millanova Winery, one of many upcoming events I had been looking forward to. So I'm going to take as much time as needed to recover and get back into the swing of things. Thank you in advance for your patience.
